Northern California Innocence Project

The Northern California Innocence Project (NCIP) is a clinical program within Santa Clara Law School. Law students are supervised by experienced legal and forensic staff in investigating possible wrongful convictions, reviewing case histories, appellate briefs, transcripts, medical records, and other documents to evaluate claims of innocence. 

To be considered by NCIP for representation, an inmate must first submit a Consent Form and the Initial Screening Questionnaire to NCIP for review. Both documents must be fully completed in order to be reviewed and evaluated by NCIP. Please send completed documents directly to NCIP at:
